Turespaña, the Spanish tourism institution, has launched the program which has been dubbed “The Picasso 1973-2023 Celebration”.

In the next three months, it would take place across 30 Asian, European and American cities.

On the occasion of Pablo Picasso’s 50th death anniversary, the next year i.e. 2023 will be a year to rejoice his creations and artistic legacy.

Abu Dhabi’s Spain Tourism office arranged an event in Dubai to enjoy the legacy of the artist.

The event witnessed more than 70 trade partners coming from all over Emirates, where the invitees took part in an art workshop, along with a presentation regarding an artist’s life followed by some entertainment and a networking dinner.

This event will have almost 50 exhibitions arranged worldwide, including 16 in Spanish cities, along with cities closely related to Pablo Picasso.

Cities like Malaga, Barcelona, Madrid, A Coruña and Bilbao will arrange a wide and rich exhibition program.

In addition, Turespaña is all set for an international campaign with the name ‘Spain-inspired Picasso, come and be inspired by Spain’.

This campaign is targeted at strengthening the position of Spain as a cultural place, at the same time influencing and creating more visits to the exhibitions and commemorative events as well that will be arranged across the country with complete fervor.

Of this international campaign, inspiration is at the heart which has been financed with a budget of €2.5 million and will be launched in January 2023.
