Ibiza, the beachfront destination will get a new hotel. The Amàre Beach Hotel Ibiza is slated to open along Bou Cove in San Antonio Bay in July. The opening follows the brand’s opening in Marbella and marks the first sister property for the adults-only Amàre brand.

The hotel will have 366 guestrooms (most with balconies), three pools (including one on the rooftop), two restaurants, a cocktail bar and a beach club.  The property is four kilometers away from San Antonio, a town on the island’s west coast.

According to JLL, total investment volume in Ibiza reached more than €253 million in 2017, more than three times that of the previous year.

Interest continued into 2018, when footballer Lionel Messi bought the 52-room luxury Hotel Es Vive on the Figueretas beach to rebrand under his MiM brand, managed by the Majestic Hotel Group.

Ibiza is poised to get a further influx of new hotels this year. In November, Thomas Cook announced plans to open a new Casa Cook in Ibiza in summer 2019.
