To promote travel and tourism and especially attracting the Chinese tourists, Spain’s island Ibiza located in the eastern part of the country has launched a new website in Chinese language.
This new website has been launched for the tourism sector among the Chinese population. The Ibiza authorities announced this in an ongoing tourism fair in Spain, Madrid.
The island of Ibiza which is the third largest of the archipelago of the Balearic Islands, presented the website within the framework of FITUR being held from January 17 to 21.
The Mayor of Ibiza, Rafa Ruiz states that it seems every country speaks English, but it is not like that.
He also added that there are millions of Chinese citizens and they are an opened society. He always say Ibiza is one of the capitals of the world. They coexist with many different nationalities and they want the Chinese nationality to be in the city too.
At the presentation, the authorities have given the emphasize on the historical heritage of Ibiza, whose old town, Dalt Vila, was officially named a World Heritage Listed Site by UNESCO. Ibiza saw different peoples and civilizations live on its lands, such as the Phoenicians, the Greeks or the Carthaginians.
Ruiz explained that the heritage of Ibiza can be visited the whole year, but especially in the months of fall and spring, avoiding the crowds visiting the island during the summer.
