The Scottish Tourism Alliance (STA), the recognized all-encompassing trade organization and the voice for the tourism and hospitality sector of Scotland has published the outcomes of its Business Barometer Survey on the first day of the Scottish tourism month.
Marc Crothall, the CEO of the Scottish Tourism Alliance said that the greatness of sentiment across the tourism sector is perceptible. This is a hardy sector that always looks forward to achieve more success.
The glaring reality that the tourism industry is facing is that the existence of many businesses will be wholly reliant on an instant alteration in the course of government rules.
Everyone all through Scotland is facing a lot of pressure from price rises and cost of energy. Business is no different. The tourism industry is suffering from the double whammy from price rises and the policy sting that is accumulating costs which has the risk of throwing many out of business overall.
This is absolutely an incorrect time for the Scottish Government to be directing strategies that will do restricted good and create maximum damage. Simultaneously, the removal of monetary support actions and going back to hefty tax policies will be a huge weight to bear for many people.
