STB striving to make Sarawak a preferred destination for Indonesia

The Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) is increasing its energies for making Sarawak a preferred tourism place for the Indonesian market with the help of its involvement in a publicity trip to Jakarta, Balikpapan
and Banjarmasin arranged by Tourism Malaysia Jakarta, Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC),  along with the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA and ASITINDO).

The Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia said that this trip or roadshow has assisted in reinforcing the bond between these two iconic cities and they greet travelers to discover the natural loveliness of Sarawak, the place of abundant cultural inheritance and outstandingly approachable in services.

Mrs. Yusfida Khalid, the acting CEO of the Sarawak Travel Agency said that direct campaign between
Jakarta, Sarawak, Balikpapan and Banjarmasin is extremely appropriate in boosting Indonesian travelers
to visit Sarawak.”

Yusfida added that the undeviating connectivity delivered by AirAsia eases and streamlines the passage
of tourists from Indonesia visiting Sarawak to look for health or wellness programmes, trips or leisure, and
handiworks from Sarawak in tourism creativities in this region.

Presently, tourists from Indonesia can delight in non-stop airlines from Jakarta to Kuching through Air
Asia every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
