After bringing torrential rain, strong winds and snow to several parts of Europe, storm Ana will move towards the northeast of Spain.

In western France near La Rochelle  winds of more than 160 kilometres per hour were reported. The northern part of Europe is facing severe weather conditions.

It has been forecasted that winds around 90kph might hit Poland along with heavy snowfall in Finalnd.

UK has escaped Storm Ana at this point of time and is already reeling under freezing temperatures and hit by the biggest snowstorm in four years in the past few days.

The Met Office  warned that the southern English channel might be hit leading to widespread disruption to ferry services and flights.
