The Supervisory Board of Messe Berlin announced at the end of last week Dr. Christian Göke and Dirk Hoffmann in their offices. The contracts of the two managing directors were extended prematurely by three years. Wolf-Dieter Wolf, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, thanked both for the successful management of Messe Berlin in recent years.
The Messe Berlin Group was able to significantly expand its business in recent years. The company is now one of the ten largest trade fair companies in the world as well as the few profitable trade fair companies in Germany. Since 2007 the fair has doubled its turnover to 309 million euros in 2016.
Dr. Christian Göke has been Managing Director of Messe Berlin since 2000. Since July 2013 he heads the company as CEO. Dirk Hoffmann has been a member of the management team since September 2015 as CFO.
