Agra is organizing the Taj Mahotsav. It’s a 10-day long festival which continues to attract tourists worldwide. With huge pomp and fervor, this festival is observed every year and has specific themes each year. In 2020 for Taj Mahotsav, Sanskriti ke Rang, Taj ke Sang is the theme which has been selected.
People from different countries across the globe throng Agra to be a part of this festival. This 10-day long carnival calls upon the memories of the Mughal era and highlights the nawabi style as well that was existed during the 18th and 19th centuries in Uttar Pradesh. The carnival not only endorses tourism in Agra but also acts like a platform for the artisans who can showcase and promote their art and handicraft.
Celebrated from February 18 to 27 every year with a focused theme, it is organized at Shilpgram, close to eastern gate of the Taj Mahal. Also, the festival attracts talents countrywide, whose dazzling performances fascinates the audiences to the T! This year, artists like Hemant Brijwasi and Meet Brothers will grace the event and captivate the audience. With rich arts and crafts, authentic cuisines, dance performances, and much more all packed in one place; this festival shows the extraordinary legacies and rich heritage of India.
