The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) placed distinctive emphasis on revitalizing the Japanese market to Thailand during the Tourism Expo Japan this year, which happened from 26-29 October in Osaka.

Minister Sudawan chaired the inaugural of the Thailand pavilion on 26 October, accompanied by Mr. Akrapong Chalermnon, the Consul-General of the Royal Thai
Consulate-General in Osaka, along with Mr. Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, the Deputy Governor for International Marketing for Asia and the South-Pacific in TAT.

The Thailand stand exhibited the Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs) which the TAT has advanced and executed in agreement with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

Eleven Thai exhibitors including eight hotels and three airlines linked with TAT in the stand and took part in 300 business arrangements with buyers from all over
Japan. Products and facilities offered comprised sustainable tourism practices, traditional and historic excursions, native communities, spa, massage and Thai fare, exhibiting the market’s benefits on surroundings, ethos and history.
