Technical issue prompts emergency landing of EasyJet in France

easyjetAn EasyJet plane that was travelling from the UK to Malaga’s Costa del Sol airport has turned back and made an emergency landing in France on account of a suspected technical issue.


The EZY6407 flight that was heading from Newcastle descended while it was flying over the Bay of Biscay and turned back prior to landing at Brest Bretagne Airport in north-western part of France.


EasyJet later mentioned that the emergency landing of the Airbus A319 was owing to a precaution, that was a consequence of a probable technical issue.


One of the passengers claimed on a microblogging site that smoke could be smelt inside the airplane’s cabin but in reality there was no smoke.


A spokeswoman of EasyJet mentioned that the airliner confirms that the flight EZY6407 that was travelling from Newcastle to Malaga on 20th November, 2017 was diverted to Brest as a precautionary measure owing to a suspected technical issue.


The captain requested for an expedited landing.


And the aircraft was met by emergency services as a precaution and in sync with their procedures. EasyJet mentioned that they had arranged for an alternative aircraft to navigate passengers from Brest to Malaga later this evening.
