Visit Temecula Valley announced a record visitor spending of U.S. dollars 1.1 billion by 3.4 million visitors in 2018. Visit Temecula Valley Chairman Scott Wilson said that the region has supported 8,830 tourism jobs and has generated over 44.9 million in state and local tax revenue combined. The guests stayed an average of 2.4 days or more.
He added that the area generated U.S. dollar 117 million in lodging revenue with U.S. dollars 1.6 million overnight. As per the press release by Visit Temecula Valley visitors spent U.S. dollars 409 million on arts, entertainment and recreation; U.S. dollars 198 million on food and beverage services; U.S. dollars 127 million on off-premise food and beverage including wine sales; U.S. dollars 117 million on accommodations; U.S. dollars 107 million on retail and U.S. dollars 106 million on local transportation.
The experience seekers are aged between 36 to 50 with a combined household income of U.S. dollars 200,000 or more. The adventure seekers are aged between 36 to 50 with a household income of U.S. dollars 125,000. The dream trippers are aged between 51 to 65+ years with a household income of U.S. dollars 150,000 or more.
Wilson said that the investments in the destination continue through marketing channels, website, social media, traditional and digital campaigns and video. In 2018, the targeted campaign generated 72 million impressions for our destination that is directly benefiting.
