Tenerife tourism corporation partners with CLIA

To quote David Pérez, CEO, Tenerife Tourism Corporation, ‘This is a brilliant opportunity to promote Tenerife as a destination for cruises…even if they only spend a few hours here.’ His statements were followed by Andy Harmer, MD, CLIA UK & Ireland who said, ‘The island is a firm favorite with cruisers… We look forward to supporting Tenerife’s tourism representatives, as they further build their relationship with the travel trade and gear up for the return of cruise visitors.’

This membership is part of a new marketing strategy of Tenerife. This would improve the awareness of its attractions and activities across the region.

It follows the recent biosphere certification of the island from the Responsible Tourism Institute’s (RTI) recognizing it as a sustainable destination.
