Tepania Eco-park grabs the limelight

Far from the frenzied crowds, 47 kilometers away from Agartala, the capital city of Tripura, Tepania Eco-park has recently turned into an adventure destination for tourists.

In the middle of the jungle of Tepania Eco-park, the log huts in this adventure park are drawing maximum tourists, who are interested to stay close to the ‘mother nature’. These log huts have been built by Tripura Tourism Development Corporation (TTDCL).

The huts have intermingled with natural ambiance even though they are fully equipped with all the modern day facilities.

After experiencing over three months of shutdown during COVID-19, these log huts have once again opened for the tourists. Here, tourists can order food in the rooms or they can dine in the restaurants as well.

“This place is filled with natural beauty, staying in the log huts, closed to nature after the coronavirus lockdown is quite amazing and I believe this place has huge potential for tourists to come and explore,” said a tourist.

“To have some outing after the coronavirus lockdown, it is a very safe place away from city life, I am very much happy to come here,” said another tourist.

Early this year, only a few days after the huts were opened for the public, had to be shut down due to the emergence of pandemic but now after more than six months, these log huts are opened once again and tourists are rushing in huge numbers to experience serene yet adventurous stay.

Tourists generally arrive here in the afternoon to enjoy the evening here with their family and friends.

To quote Tripura Tourism Minister, Pranajit Singha Roy, “Government has developed several places for adventure tourism. Tripura will soon become a tourist destination; it will increase the revenue of the state and provide jobs to unemployed youngsters. Many tourism development projects are underway.”
