Acclaimed for using reused decorations from the previous travel fairs, the Thai Pavilion was also recognised for promoting small communities in Thailand by giving out local handicraft to booth visitors, and for all booth representatives dressed in Thai traditional clothes.
In addition, the booth was praised for incentivising and supporting regions for potential tourists.
Thailand Stand won the award in the category of Asia/ Australia/ Oceania.
Receiving the award were Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mr. Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas, and Mr. Teerasil Tapen, TAT Executive Director for Europe, Africa, and Middle East region.
