Capitol Hotel TokyuThe Capitol Hotel Tokyu, located in the heart of Tokyo’s metropolis next to the Japanese Prime Minister’s Official Residence, will target Indian business and leisure travelers visiting Tokyo, as part of a renewed sales and marketing push to key international markets around the world. Central to the offering is The Capitol Hotel Tokyu’s luxurious interiors and modern Japanese design and aesthetics, combined with gourmet experiences, personalized hospitality, and a central location that provides visitors with a unique and authentic Japanese experience in the heart of Tokyo.

Says Mr. Munenori Yamazaki, Assistant General Manager, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: “Many business and leisure travelers from India to Tokyo seek a quintessential Japanese experience that evokes and pays homage to Japan’s unique culture and past while providing for the needs of modern urban lifestyles. The Capitol Hotel Tokyu provides just this, along with exceptional hospitality and service that is Japanese at heart, but expressed within an international flair. As such we are proactively reaching out to Indian travel professionals to partner with us to promote these unique experiences to their clientele.”

The 251 rooms, including 13 suites are designed in a sophisticated contemporary Japanese style, each featuring traditional interior elements of shoji (paper screens) and expansive six-meter windows. For the ultimate in solitude, four exclusive suites on the fifth floor overlook tranquil landscaped gardens and the historic Hie shrine. In addition, the hotel offers exclusive butler service tailored to each guest’s demands.

The Capital Hotel Tokyu is the Tokyo hotel of choice for many different nationalities and aside from local Japanese guests, it is visitors from the United States that number the most constituting around 18.5% of its total foreign guests. Guests from India currently constitute a developing market to Japan that the hotel is hoping to grow.

Says Mr. Yamazaki: “Many of our guests from India are currently travelling for business, however we would like to reach out more to the Indian leisure travelers, who we believe would appreciate our refined hospitality, aesthetic, and sensibility.”

To further visually enhance the guest’s stay the hotel displays a number of artworks and artisanal collections including the painting Fuji by renowned Japanese artist Misao Yokoyama, as well as numerous calligraphy artworks by Toko Shinoda, one of modern Japan’s foremost calligraphers, which stand side by side with a number of works based on pieces from Japan’s Gotoh Museum. Additionally, modern ikebana (Japanese flower arrangements) in the style of the Sogetsu School founded by Sofu Teshigahara can be found throughout the hotel.

Whether it is in the peaceful surroundings of the hotel garden, in the signature restaurant “Suiren” offering Modern Japanese cuisine, or enjoying gourmet Chinese cuisine in the chic “Star Hill”, guests can enjoy lifestyle experiences that are the envy of all in Tokyo. For those wanting to relax, a haven in the heart of the city was created with the hotel’s “ORIGAMI” Lounge, with its water features and open atrium facing lush verdant gardens.
