At 3 pm in Rizes, a farm located in the central point of Mykonos, not a single bottle of champagne was in sight, a sunbed to relax or a scintilla of music that cover up the sound of the breeze through the nearby bamboo.

This is due to the fact that Nikos Zouganelis, born and bred on the party island, has intentionally planned to do something fresh. He said that at Rizes, they want to live the Mykonos of their roots; he says of the venture, instead whose enjoyment includes cooking classes, making bread and horse riding. They don’t do champagne, music and crowds.

Zouganelis’s mission is to honour what was at one point of time was the Cycladic isle’s original way of life is partially a reaction to what he has witnessed around him. Though it was not natural.

He says, he too has done his fair share of contribution to the exceptional success of Mykonos. His father in the construction business, the bearded 52-year-old man had spent several years constructing the villas and hotels that assisted in turning a rocky outcrop, whose terrain even in antiquity was known for its austerity, into what it is today: a playground for the rich and famous.

They included Elon Musk, this summer, the riches man of the world; Nicole Scherzinger, the singer and TV personality and her fiance, previous rugby star Thom Evans; and Mo Salah, the footballer, who signed a contract extension for Liverpool of worth £350,000, reportedly, a week while holidaying on the island.
