The International Travel & Tourism Awards, an impressive newly launched awards scheme that commemorates the best of travel and tourism across the globe, has opened nominations for its categories.
Given by WTM London, the award show is a first-of-its-kind event that will identify national, regional and city tourist boards along with outstanding private sector companies and individuals as well.
The awards will showcase 13 categories, with 12 reviewed by an independent panel of well-known authorities and senior figures in every sector. The final award in terms of outstanding contribution to the industry chosen by WTM London Media Partners will be the ultimate finale. It will take place on November 6th at a sparkling awards ceremony in London.
The memorable awards scheme is being formally made public on March 22nd at Awards partner London & Partners’ headquarters, with few selected audience of senior travel and tourism professionals.
Over 500 senior industry executives, comprising government ministers, will take part in the remarkable awards ceremony scheduled at Tobacco Dock, a few minutes on the Docklands Light Railway from WTM London’s ExCeL venue. Buses will also transport WTM London delegates to the awards venue.
Sandra Carvao, chief of communications and publications and Nick Pilbeam, Reed Travel Exhibitions director will co-chair the awards with the help of UNWTO. From all the top tourism and industry bodies and organizations like Euromonitor International and public relations body PRCA, judges will be participating in the event.
