The Laos government all set to revive its tourism this year

Recently, the Lao cabinet has issued directives to state bodies to work with service and tour operators and help in reviving the tourism industry as well as improve the financial system of the country.

As per the reports of Xinhua news agency, at the time of the monthly meeting of the Lao government, the cabinet informed the state departments to arrange discussions with the operators of tourism business
and share ideas as well as activities to take place during Visit Laos Year 2024.

The Prime Minister of Laos, Sonexay Siphandone, will chair the day-long meeting. He has called for action to talk about the obstructions that are hindering at present the growth and development of the tourism sector, the main financial driver and the prime foreign currency earner for the country.

The government is anticipating that Visit Laos Year 2024 will act as a major boost up to the post-COVID revival of tourism and strengthen the delicate economy of Laos in the middle of international upheavals.

The Lao government thinks that the sector is its top priority when it comes to revitalizing the economy of the country, and in 2023, Laos is all geared up to welcome a huge rush of foreign visitors with confidence.

The government emphasized the huge potential of the country to expand cultural, natural, historical, and agricultural sites related to tourism.

Numerous media organizations have positioned Laos as world’s one of the top travel destinations for this year.
