The NOC President selected as Minister of Culture& Tourism, Nepal

On June 26th, the declaration was made by the Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Sher Bahadur Debua, during a reorganization of the Cabinet.

The Nepal Olympic Committee and other sporting organizations complimented Ram Shrestha, along with NOC vice-president, Ashok Ratna Bajracharya, during a ceremony.

Ram Shrestha explained that he will be aiming on developing the tourism industry of Nepal, which has been roughly impacted by the pandemic.

Ram Shrestha also said that in sports tourism sector, Nepal has plenty of possibilities and they are targeting on developing this sector. Jeevan Ram Shrestha, is anticipating to renew the tourism industry of Nepal. He said that he has always emphasized on bridging sports and tourism together.

The pandemic affected the tourism as well as sports in Nepal in the most pathetic ways. Therefore, the government wants to take both the sectors seriously.

For its development and rebuilding tourism, the government of Nepal has special plans.

One of his first steps as the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, as per the reports, was to develop a committee that looks into the way tourism industry can be revitalized and take it to the pre-pandemic levels.

To come up with proposals, the said committee has been given seven days time.
