A place to unwind together, have a barefoot ceremony on a deserted beach, or exchange vows beneath a breathtakingly gorgeous rainforest canopy and unparalleled privacy, all come together to make Tobago a one of the most romantic destinations. And here is why!

Picturesque locations

There are several beautiful outdoor venues in Tobago. The island, which has numerous private beaches, tranquil waterfalls, tropical gardens, unexplored mangroves, and old forts, provides breathtaking surroundings for your special wedding experience. Some of Tobago’s private beaches are only reachable by boat, making it possible to exchange vows on your very own private beach. This makes it the ideal Caribbean island wedding location. A wedding in Tobago is for you if having a private beach or outdoor ceremony sounds like your ideal destination fantasy wedding. The iconic Pigeon Point Beach, Bacolet Beach, Back Bay Mt. Irvine, Lovers Retreat Plymouth, Buccoo Beach, Englishman’s Bay Castara-Parlatuvier, and Pirates’ Bay Charlotteville are just a few of the top beach wedding settings.

Cultural heritage

The native population resisted many attempts by European settlers to colonise the island in the 1650s, including one made by the Courlanders, who did so sporadically between 1637 and 1690. Over the next years, Tobago became the focus of numerous attempts at colonisation thanks to the Curonians (Duchy of Courland), Dutch, English, French, Spanish, and Swedes. Many of the gorgeous spots on the island, as previously said, still exhibit much of the island’s rich history and culture. Old sugar mills, which are still standing in a number of spots across the island, make stunning and intriguing backgrounds for your wedding photographs. Numerous communities and venues bear the names of the people and locations significant to this idyllic Caribbean island’s history and culture.

Perfect for intimate weddings and events

Multiple locations may very comfortably hold up to fifty (50) guests. While Tobago does have places that can hold a lot more people, if you prefer a more intimate setting, you will have a greater selection of venue options. Maintaining a small scale also enables you to venture off the usual path and design a totally unique experience for you and your visitors. Elopement is a fad right now, and Tobago is the perfect location for it. This also allows for a non-traditional approach; instead of wearing a bridal gown and a three-piece suit, you can get married in Caribbean Resort Wear created by a local Tobago designer or a customised two-piece swimsuit, giving your wedding the Caribbean feel you previously thought was only possible in movies.

Privacy

You can reserve a Tobago villa for that semi-outdoor experience; many of which can provide you with the best of both worlds, a beachside ceremony combined with a pool-side garden reception. The wedding will take place in a very private setting at a Tobago villa. You can say your vows while listening to the sounds of the ocean at Tobago Villas’ poolside gardens and tranquil beachfront surroundings. On your big day, you won’t just be taken aback by your genuine love because certain places offer such breathtaking panoramic ocean views. Tobago allows you the seclusion to spend your big day with the people who matter most to you, with no outside disruptions, from infinity pools to shoreline “I do’s.”
