Amitabh Rai will join the Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore as its new General Manager. He will be heading a team and help in further strengthen the position of the brand.
His main aim will be to help the guests in building exceptional hotel experience which is reflective of the brand’s ideology and iconic legacy.
Prior to this Rai served The Oberoi as the General Manager and holds more than 25 years of experience in business and hospitality.
He started his career in 1993 as an Assistant Manager Front Office and due to his passion for hospitality and people he became the General Manager at the Oberoi Grand.
Rai felt honoured on his appointment and said that he was fortunate to work with a dynamic and motivated team. He said that his key focus will be to ensure that the hotel continues to excel and offer distinctive services that the brand is known for.
Rai is passionate about traveling and knowing unfamiliar places, he is an avid golfer and a director of UK based charity aimed at empowering the underprivileged.
Rai pursued his education from St Joseph’s College for Arts & Sciences, Bangalore University and also holds a Diploma from Oberoi School of Hotel Management.
