Today, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 30 development projects at Nerwa. These projects worth roughly Rs. 175 crore in the Chopal Assembly constituency of Shimla district.
During the ‘Pragatisheel Himachal: Sathapna Ke 75 Varsh’ program, the CM gave a speech at a public meeting at Nerwa. He explained that initiations would be made to tie together Chopal’s huge tourism potential to everyone. He mentioned that in the Kupvi area, the HP government had opened an SDM office and a degree college and advanced Nerwa to a nagar panchayat. In the Chopal constituency, many other offices of importance has been opened.
Thakur stated that good works done for the locals by the BJP government had made the opposition leaders offended, who were offering freebees. He requested the residents of the HP not to get swayed by the assertions of the Opposition and enthusiastically support the BJP in the impending Assembly elections. Balbir Verma, Chopal MLA, said that projects related to development worth crores of rupees were being executed in the constituency.
Also, the CM took part in a meeting virtually in terms of the execution of the Kishau Dam Project, headed by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. He requested Shekhawat to speed up the case to keep away from project cost escalation as Uttarakhand and Himachal had handled with all issues related to relief and rehabilitation.
