The UNWTO functioning with the MSC Foundation for sustainable tourism

 Wednesday, June 7, 2023

The UNWTO is actively working with the MSC foundation for offering an arrangement of
sustainability-linked instruction options on board the MSC Euribia cruise vessel.

The inventiveness builds on the achievement of the first global youth tourism conference, organized in Sorrento, Italy last year. It will witness the formation of the MSC Foundation Youth Lab, which is a specially-prepared site on the cutting-edge new eco-ship. One of the primary packages to be presented in the Youth Lab would be ‘GYTS for MSC: a sustainable future for our next generations’, planned in close association with the UNWTO.

The agenda will offer 12 everyday two-hour activity meetings on important topics ranging from ocean
health, reprocessing and weather change to ecological tourism and social media, which are aimed on
sustainability experiments. The doings have been intended to leave the young folks free to acquire,
generate and express themselves as per their aspirations and concepts for the future.

Daniela Picco, the Executive Director of MSC Foundation said that they are pleased to exploit the
wonderful achievement of the global youth tourism summit in Sorrento by spreading their collaboration with the UNWTO to encourage empowerment of youth and sustainability instruction.
