floating-hotelOvernight guests at the Huis Ten Bosch (HTB) theme park would be able to explore a unique opportunity.

They can sleep in beautiful spherical hotel rooms on water. There would be two ball-shaped units that feature a 28-square-meter guest room on the first flow and also a 5-square-meter deck on a second level were uncovered to the media on 6th March.

The seemingly futuristic pods would be used to travel back into the past.

They would actually voyage to Jurassic Island that represents a groundbreaking attraction featuring an augmented reality dinosaur experience on an uninhabited island that is owned by HTB that would open on 28th April.

Every mobile floating hotel measures about 6.4 meters in diameter that also comprises a television, toilet and a bathroom.

Passengers would be boarding the boats at the theme park in the evening and travel the 6-kilometer southwestern sea route to the island overnight, towed by a bigger ship.

HTB is about to trial the floating hotel service this month at the earliest and is planning to open it to the public this summer. Hideo Sawada who is the HTB president mentioned that it would be exciting if the business can be expanded in lakes and seas with gentle waves worldwide in the future.

The experience would be costing between $470 and 100,000 yen per boat as per Sawada.
