Thompson-Okanagan tourism professionals named finalists for BC Tourism and Hospitality Awards

The 2022 BC Tourism and Hospitality Conference (BCTHC), which will be hosted in Richmond this year, is just 10 days away.


The theme for this year’s conference is Kickstarting the Comeback and will provide the “industry with the tools, knowledge and skills needed to further navigate … uncharted waters together.”


Finalists for the 2022 BCTHC awards have also been announced, including a few people from the Thompson-Okanagan region.


Julie Ratcliffe is the marketing & events manager for the BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops. Ratcliffe is a finalist for the accessibility award.


Adam Blair is the general manager for the Quaaout Lodge & Talking Rock Resort located in Chase. Blair is up for the Indigenous operator of year award.


Kim Barnes, marketing director for Wine Growers BC, is based out of Kelowna and is up for the innovation award
Thom Tischik, executive director of travel Penticton, is up for the professional excellence award.


Winners will be announced at the awards gala on Thursday, Mar. 10 at the Richmond Conference Centre.
