Three million tourists visit Tunisia from Jan to July this year

Tunisia can be a wonderful pick for travel enthusiasts! Around three million tourists visited Tunisia from the start of this year to the end of July, with more than seven million overnight stops.

This fact was affirmed by Mohamed Moez Belhassine, the Tunisian Minister of Tourism, during his visit to the governorate of Medenine. He emphasized that these figures are near enough the figures of 2019, the year before the pandemic set in.

The Djerba-Zarzis tourist area ranked first countrywide regarding reception ability, labor force and hotel establishments. Nearly, 510,000 tourists visited this area from the commencement of this year till the end of July, while overnight halts touched 2,400,000, which is a 218% upsurge compared to the same period in 2021.
