We all know that Kashmir for its natural beauty is commonly recognized as the ‘paradise on earth’ which features snow-covered mountains, gushing water bodies, verdant expansive forests and hospitable people. In spite of all these, the valley has only been known for places like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Doodpathri, however, by tourists, there are many other places that have never been explored so far.
The J&K government at present is keeping no stones unturned to take these remote places on the map of national and international tourism and push them to get maximum visitor arrival. Also, for the upcoming winters, the government is trying to make these hidden spots available to everyone and making all the essential arrangement whatsoever.
In this story, we have highlighted few places of these hidden gems of Kashmir which have never been discovered by the tourists however, these places may be of huge help for the adventurous soul out there.
Currently, 16 square kilometers area of Karnah is based on this side of the LoC not including its Dhoks and forest regions. From the main town of Kupwara, it is 78 kilometres away.
Gurez is a valley situated in the high altitude of the Himalayas, around 86 kilometres from the Bandipora district in north Kashmir and 123 kilometres from Srinagar. This valley is about 2,400 metres (8,000 ft) above the sea level; the valley is bounded by snow-covered mountains.
The border town Uri may have got some name after Vicky Kaushal movie Uri: The Surgical Strike released but it looks that it hasn’t as needed.
