Through a $2.7 acquisition of Apple Leisure Group, the Hyatt Hotels Corp is set to increase twofold its global resort offerings.
Likely the transaction will close in the fourth quarter and will add 11 new European markets to Hyatt’s portfolio that includes Spain, Greece, Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
According to Hyatt CEO and President Mark Hoplamazian the demand for this type of comprehensive travel is prevailing. It leads to the driving of expansion of these types of resorts in the global market.
He also stated his optimistic views on providing diverse experiences and values for guests.
The acquisition includes luxury resort brands like Secrets Resorts and Spas, dreams Resorts and Spas, Breathless Resorts and Spas and Alua Hotels and Resorts.
