Aspen, Colorado-based Timbers Resorts LLC officially confirmed that it will bring its corporate headquarters to metro Orlando in February at 1031 W. Morse Blvd. The company, which was considering Dallas, Denver and Atlanta as other options, will bring more than 80 jobs to the area with an average salary of $92,848, nearly double the Orange County average.
Timbers Resorts CEO Greg Spencer said in a statement, “We feel that Florida provides a phenomenal platform for the Timbers Resorts brand and is a natural setting to launch new creative experiential vacation offerings,”. “Moving our headquarters out of the Aspen area was a difficult decision, but we feel that Winter Park has a very similar spirit that our brand and employees will fit well within.”
The jobs are not expected to land all at once, but will be added over a couple of years, according to Winter Park city documents. Twenty-five will be created by Dec. 31, 2019; 25 more by Dec. 31, 2020 and another 30 by Dec. 31, 2021.
Timbers founded in 1999, operates in more than 15 locations, including Jupiter. The company has more than 800 employees and would maintain its Colorado office, as well as locations in Barcelona, Bluffton, S.C.; and Kauai, Hawaii.
Timbers is not the only company to move its headquarters to Winter Park recently.
Mergers and acquisitions firm Align Business Advisory Services in October opened a 2,000-square-foot office at 436 N. Wymore Road.
