Officials in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Pattaya have all welcomed the recent decision of CCSA to make some restrictions simple to follow which would allow the New Year’s Eve celebrations in full swing. After a journalist with the travelling press corps was tested positive for Covid-19, the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has recently called off the Thai leg of his Southeast Asia tour along with his meeting with PM Prayut Chan-o-Cha.

A new online portal has been launched by the Tourism Ministry as it hopes that it will make visiting Thailand even easier for the 8 – 15 million tourists who are currently expected to visit in 2022.
