To enjoy Chilimjusht, tourists visit Kalash in huge numbers

The gala festival of Chilimjusht is continuing in full-throttle as several local and international tourists have gathered in the three Kalash valleys to make the most of this spring festival.

In Rambur valley, the main event was arranged. There Kalash locals sprinkled milk on their favourite deities and prayed for good health and luck. Women and children dressed in their traditional attires, and men danced and sang together to observe the spring festival.

For drinking purposes, the elderly women in Kalash distributed goat milk and yogurt. The Kalash people in groups along with their domestic animals like sheep and goats go to the fields and verdant valleys.

For the event, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority under the aegis of the Tourism Department and the district administration of Lower Chitral have arranged everything to make the tourists and local residents feel at ease and celebrate the event in the best way possible. Germany, France, Japan, Malaysia and elsewhere in the world, tourists come to Kalash and are enjoy the festival completely.

For many days, they love to stay in Kalash and take part in their local culture, traditions, explore tourist attractions and participate in festivals in the picturesque valleys of Kalash.

A woman tourist from abroad informed the reporters that till now whatever she had read in terms of Kalash’s history and culture, everything is turned true when she visited the valley.
