To promote Thai tourism, Emirates signed MoC with TAT

The national carrier of Dubai – The Emirates, has recently promised to lend its support to promoting tourism in Thailand via Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).


Both the tourism body and Emirates will discover joint efforts and opportunities for collaboration under the said agreement that will improve marketing and promotional efforts of each party to draw travellers to Thailand.


With the help of this contract, the airline will connect to promote the country with the help of its agents in all the prime strategic markets besides collaborating on joint familiarisation trips particularly planned to attract various customer segments.


Orhan Abbas, Senior VP (Commercial Operations) Far East at Emirates and Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Deputy Governor for International Marketing (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas), signed the MoC in the presence of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Emirates Group Chairman and Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports.


At the signing ceremony, others were also present like Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, Chairat Sirivat, Consul-General of Thailand to the UAE and Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates.


Abbas mentioned that more than 30 years back, Emirates had introduced operations to Thailand, and its destinations are among the most popular in the Southeast Asian network of Dubai carrier, especially amongst US, Europe and Middle East holidaymakers.
