The state government is all geared up to hire a private organization for a two years contract. It will use social media to take the tourist spots, cultural events like the Durga Puja Carnival to the audiences worldwide. In this process, all social media accounts of the WB Tourism Department will go through a complete overhaul and new accounts will also be created at the same time.
Travel blogs, photos of tourist attractions, documentary and other related content will be open for general public feedback who at the same time can pose related questions to the government.
“We are planning to hire professional bloggers to write travel blogs for our social media accounts and website,” said a senior Tourism Department official. The private agencies will be required to post at least 10 tweets per day on tourism in Bengal on Facebook, four on Instagram and YouTube.
