In many countries, the alarming situation of COVID-19 is getting under control. As a result, many people are now interested to explore travelling to run away from the two-year monotony caused by the pandemic. The number of arrivals of foreign tourists in April 2022 in Indonesia reached 111,100, as per the information of the Statistics Indonesia. It’s the highest on record available data as COVID hit the country.

Margo Yuwono, the BPS head recently explained that this info is the highest from the time pandemic started off. This shows that tourism industry has started reviving.

The number of tourists from abroad, entering through the main entrance have risen by 172.27 percent in April this year compared to the previous month.

In Bangka Belitung province, Indonesia organized the 2022 International Halal Congress. This place is Indonesia’s one of the main halal tourism destinations for June 14th and 15th, 2022.

Participants and speakers from around 40 countries took part in the congress. This event offered a chance for halal industry players to devise strategies in terms of halal tourism and products.

It gave way a nine-point declaration. Among many other things, it called for speeding up of halal tourism and increasing the swiftness of halal industry as a key pillar of national and international growth in economy.
