To draw greater number of tourists from South-Eastern part of India, today, all travel and tour operators from J&K signed a MoU with Tour and Travel Association of Andhra Pradesh (TTAA) at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh in a tourism promotional campaign and road show.
The road show was arranged by J&K Tourism Department in partnership with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Alliance (JKTA).
President TTAA Vijay Mohan and Chairman JKTA Manzoor A Pakhtoon signed the MoU in the attendance of MD Tourism Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh, Praveen Kumar, Chief Executive Officer Surinsar Mansar Development Authority, Nagendra Singh Jamwal and Assistant Director Tourism Kashmir, Dr Javid ur Rehman.
More than hundred well-known travel agents and destination management companies of Andhra Pradesh took part in the road show to enhance network and set up opportunities related to business with the travel trade fraternity of J&K.
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer, Surinsar Mansar Development Authority requested the leaders in travel to showcase J&K as a preferred tourist destination of the country. He explained that besides having unrivaled beauty, J&K provides different tourism products and is quite sought-after for the adventure and pilgrim tourism lovers.
Assistant Director Tourism who also delivered speech on the occasion described the way tourists were taking pleasure of their holidays in Kashmir by highlighting stories of many travellers who visited the Valley over the past few months.
He stated that for tourists, Kashmir is one of the safest places especially for solo female travelers who are visiting in huge numbers.
After signing the MoU, President TTAA explained that they would showcase J&K dynamically and take in all tourism products of the J&K in their travel packages.
Chairman, JKTA Manzoor Ahmad Pakhtoon made sure that the travel agents from Vijayawada, tour operators and hoteliers are ready to host Tourists and provide them best services.
