Tokyo all set to lure overseas visitors & enjoy nightlife

Businesses in Tokyo are keen on getting international visitors spending their time and experience on the wide-ranging nightlife options of the city.

 
For foreign tourists, travel agencies are organizing special events like Japanese taiko drum performances, as hotels are expanding their business hours to let the travelers socialize into the early hours.

 
However, efforts are being made to boost up the after-dark economy, dearth of late-night public transport becomes a major obstacle for the tourists to get a taste of Tokyo, especially after 1 a.m, the only option is waiting for the first train four hours later, or hiring an expensive taxi to their hotel.

 
Ever since last year, travel agency JTB Corp. has partnered with “Drum Tao,” a world-famous Japanese taiko percussion and dance troupe, to amuse foreign visitors.

 
In September and October 2017, performances of the traditional Japanese drumming were held. As a result of their popularity, the shows are being organized from May through November 2018, a fourfold increase in the number of performances from the year before.
