Tony Wong to be Executive Chef of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong

Tony Wong becomes Executive Chef of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong.  Chef Tony packs in 30+ years experience in popular hotel brands including JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong as a culinaire extraordinaire.  His expertise and innovation will maintain JW Marriott Hotel’s reputation as the top hotels in Hong Kong.

Chef Tony was born and raised in Hong Kong and managed a team of 175 people across the hotel’s eight food & beverage outlets and banquet venues. He created an outstanding array of Asian, Chinese and Western cuisines prepared with fresh and high-quality ingredients and tempered with innovation.

Chef Tony started his career as in 1990 as a Senior Cook in the Marriott Café kitchen and graduated through various roles such as Banquet Chef (2002), Sous Chef (2003) and Senior Sous Chef (2007) of Marriott Café.  His passion, creativity, and skills earned him culinary awards such as Marriott Asia Pacific 2012 Award of Culinary Excellence Rising Star of the Year and 2011 The J. Willard Marriott Award of Excellence. Chef Tony went on to become Executive Sous Chef in 2009 and Executive Chef in September 2018.

He was instrumental in the launching of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong’s JW Café (May 2015), and The Lounge (August 2016). He revitalised the banquet menu in 2017 and will continue to delight the guests with his signature Chinese and Asian dishes and other culinary spread.
