Tourism authorities requested to maintain cleanliness of Duku Highway

On Sunday, the tourism authorities of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region located in Northwest China requested the tourists to maintain the cleanliness of the Duku Highway, a sough-after scenic spot, after some netizens create an alert online regarding the visible garbage along the road.


In the statement, the tourism authorities requested tourists not to turn the Duku Highway into a wasteyard. On its official Wechat account, this statement was released by the regional tourism authorities.


The statement also said that for self-driving tourists, carrying personal garbage is mandatory and one should put the garbage in dustbins or in any nearby garbage stations based along the road. Also said tourists not to stop on the road aimlessly and park the vehicle in the space designated exclusively adhering to the direction of the arrows.

It also said that for tourists coming on foot, or taking snaps on the road, all personal belongings should be taken away and requested not to throw them away on the road.

Also, one should bring their own cups along with recyclable bags which help to decrease the pollution caused by wastes along with beverage bottles and plastic bags, thrown here and there.

The Duku Highway is better known as the most beautiful highway in China, to travelers, it remains open only four months in a year because of the weather conditions. With the Xinjiang region drawing tourists from every corner of the country, of late, the Duku Highway turned out to be one of the hottest scenic spots of China.
