Tourism department of J&K took part in IITM Hyderabad

With an aim to attract more tourists from South India particularly from Telangana, the Department of tourism, Jammu and Kashmir took part in the IITM which was organized at Hitex Convention Hall, Izzatnagar Hyderabad from 03-05th of December 2021. Also, more than 20 States like Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, UP, Bihar etc. took part in the Expo including the host State of Telangana. Sri V. Srinivas Goud, the Minster for Tourism, Culture and Archaeology Government of Telangana, inaugurated this three day event while interacting with the state representatives participating as he assured full cooperation of the Telangana government and announced that a special desk will be opened in the office of Directorate of Tourism Telangana. This would help stakeholders to smooth interchange of best practices between Telangana and J&K.On his Visit to the J&K Pavilion, the Minister was presented a momento by Mr Sher Singh CEO Patnitop Development Authority.

Sri Uppala Srinavas Gupta, Chairman T.S. Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Mr. NageshPampati (Chairman TAAI, Telengana), Mr. Liaqat Ali (President, TOAT) and other well-known tourism representatives were also present at the J&K Stall. The J&K Tourism stall was attended by many visitors along with their queries. They were addressed by the Exhibitors and Official representatives. A road show was also arranged by the J&K Tourism on the sidelines of the exhibition under the title, “J&K Tourism – New hopes New destinations”. This road show presented new destinations, experiences and showcased the campaigns adopted by the Tourism Department in offering best services and products to the tourists. These 75 new destinations have been identified by the department for their promotion as a part of celebrations of 75th Year of Independence under the caption Azadi Ka Amrut Mahat Utsav. It generated great interest of the prospective tourists and tourism players.
