Tourism honcho of Nashville is about to step down

 Tuesday, June 6, 2023

Like today’s scenario, Nashville was not always the best tourist destination. The city, in the last three decades, has drawn sophisticated pro sports franchises, created the pet name – Music City into a brand, and turned into US’s bachelorette capital.

The tourism industry is booming in their town, whether people like the concept or not. And Butch Spyridon for the last 32 years has been at the top, managing the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation with success. At present, as he is all geared up to step down by the end of June as
the CEO, a news channel invited him to reveal about his career and the consequences, regarding the growth of the city.

However, Tasha A.F. Lemley, WPLN contributor, talks about the approach of the city with constant changes to homeless encampments.
