In January 2023, the number of visitors to Jordan increased to 504,025.

This was an up from 407,709 in the same month back in 2019 and 211,634 in last year, as per the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

The ministry issued a monthly report that highlighted the fact that in January, Jordan had hosted 409,023 overnight tourists compared to 344,617 in January 2019 and 185,553 last year, a news agency reported.

The head of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), Abdel Razzaq Arabiyat, in November 2022 said that the board in Europe and Gulf countries is designing the launch of several tourism marketing campaigns.

Also, during Qatar World Cup, it ran a Jordan tourism campaign.

Arabiyat said that the JTB for the next year is working on a plan to get rid of seasonal tourism in Jordan, and in place set in motion tourism all through the year, making use of the diversity that this country has to offer, which one cannot find anywhere else.

Also, he emphasized the urgency to develop the marketing of service-providers in famous as well as lesser known areas of the Kingdom.
