Tourism industry constitutes effective ways for tourism promotion

The tourism industry constitutes one of the best ways to re-establish the economy of Malaysia, said Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, the Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister of the country.

The minister said that for that reason, every participant in the tourism industry like hotel operators, shopping centers and restaurants among others associated with the sector needs to expand the excellence of their individual services.

Tiong King Sing said that Malaysia is in its way of improving the country’s economy, where the tourism segment needs to be improved with the aim of attracting more tourists from overseas to Malaysia.

He said that Malaysia, similar to other countries, was harshly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, processes of revival need to be carried out at once after borders have reopened to re-establish its economy.

National retrieval needs the assistance of all parties, where they should work in an organized fashion for boosting the local tourism segment. The tourism segment, like other trades, requires the labors of all parties, particularly the tourism industry players for reviving their individual companies which were seriously impacted, so that their earnings can go back to normal.

In the meantime, speaking on the meeting with the Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia, Tiong said that several issues were deliberated comprising successful processes to further grow the tourism industry in both Malaysia and India.
