Adelaide will host Australian Tourism Export Council’s Meeting Place, the flagship event of the inbound tourism industry, drawing this October around 500 tourism industry leaders to South Australia.
Declaring the winning bid, Peter Shelley, ATEC Managing Director, said that for the state and city, Meeting Place was a great chance to strengthen its offerings related to tourism as foreign visitors start to engage once again with destination Australia.
Mr Shelley said that Meeting Place is an outstanding platform for highlighting South Australia, attracting everyone under one roof, the people who sell Australia worldwide and delivering them right to your front door.
With a concentrated number of foreign travel buyers assembled under one roof, Meeting Place, with its history of fifty years, is the most easy to get to interface for Australian export tourism businesses to place their products at front of the target audience.
South Australia provides an astonishing variety of experiences and there has been substantial investment in developing and setting up of tourism products and experiences which can meet the requirements of foreign tourists and delegates, keen on taking a closer look at the recent and greatest that the state can provide to the tourists.
Zoe Bettison, the Minister for Tourism, said that it was great that Adelaide has secured the flagship event of ATEC. Arranging ATEC Meeting offers a chance to display South Australia to the ones who will assist in sell it worldwide.
