Forty-seven (47) tourism enterprises from around the island of Ireland are joining Tourism Ireland, both in person and virtually, at Britain & Ireland Marketplace (BIM). The in-person event took place last week and the virtual event is taking place 1 February.
BIM is an annual B2B workshop, organised by the European Tourism Association (ETOA) to showcase Britain and the island of Ireland. This year’s event will be attended by tour operators and travel buyers from around the world. It involves a series of pre-scheduled, one-to-one appointments – with the companies from Ireland meeting, and doing business with, the international travel buyers in attendance.
David Boyce, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Asia, Middle East and UK Inbound, said: “We are really pleased to take part in BIM again this year. The format of the in-person and virtual one-to-one appointments provides a great opportunity for our partners to showcase the island of Ireland to the important international travel buyers. Our message for those buyers – and that of our industry partners – is very simple: the island of Ireland is open for business again and we cannot wait to roll out the green carpet and welcome back visitors from around the world.”
