Tourism Ireland sponsored Autumn Cup 2022

At Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, the second Autumn Cup was observed last Sunday.

In Sunday’s competition, sixty-five golfers participated in what a firmly contested field, played in rough conditions at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, with a stiff breezing blowing all through the afternoon.

The set-up was an individual stableford. Now, the top eight competitors have qualified for the knockout matchplay stage. In the forthcoming months, these will be played with the overall champion crowned in the club championships weekend.

The names of the top eight are: In a tie for sixth place Mark Hughes, Roma Khanna, & Ishwar Jodha all shot a level par 36 points. In the second place was David McDonald, Tauseef Khan, and Mark Phoenix & Emanuele Galeppini each on 37 points. Lastly, Edoardo Galeppini, with a score of 38 points and winning by 1 shot was the top qualifier.

Four next to the pin competitions were arranged on-course today and again all prizes were given away by Tourism Ireland openhandedly. Showing some excellent iron play and winning on hole 5 was Ed Fern, Shan Haq was on the 8th hole and Yulia Golubeva on the 14th hole and lastly Jamie Gorman on the 16th Hole.
