Tourism Ireland is quite anxious about an article published by Lonely Planet related to the cost of visiting Ireland will get increased worldwide in the middle of a low but constant complaints about rising bills for vacationers coming here.
Constant monitoring was done and was found that there was a steady rise in online complaints via social media from tourists coming to Ireland with 55 of 68 pain points raised in just one week in terms of costs. Around 42 per cent of all complaints particularly emphasized about car hire.
In a special report, the State agency explained that on the sector that there was constant low-level customer review on the cost of car renting along with the costs of the hotel rooms from trade partners and social media.
Though, Tourism Ireland has said that this had till now mainly got escaped negative coverage in mainstream media briefing paper.
On rising costs, the country-by-country special report stated that French trade partners were mainly concerned about continuing price rise and availability issues.
Operators in France were experiencing cancellation of hotel room allocations along with unaffordable weekday rates for hotels in Dublin city centre.
Also, price rise in restaurants have been flagged as a thing to worry about, the report stated. Besides, the reports of few tour operators have said that that main attraction no longer accepts group bookings; it’s a serious component of a group tour for holidaymakers.
