Tourism Malaysia joined hands with Dato’ Chef Ismail Ahmad along with The Association of Spouses of Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Malaysia (SOHOM) concerning the Gastro diplomacy Plan, which targets to uphold Malay cooking amongst partners of envoys in Malaysia by undergoing directly in preparing the locals’ comfort
food.
The programme started on 13 to 14 September this year, when SOHOM associates had the exclusive prospect to acquire the skill of cooking indigenous traditional Malay fare at Rebung Restaurant. This comprised the preparation of masak lemak cili padi, onde – onde along with a distinct technique of banana fritters by Rebung Restaurant.
