Tourism minister request people to promote local tourism

Sandiaga Uno, the Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, Indonesia, has requested the people to help them in promoting their local attractions. This would support in the development of village tourism in the country.

He said that people who are coming forward should have tourism awareness. He was delivering a speech during the Tourism Awareness Dissemination event. This event was arranged in Senteluk Village, West Nusa Tenggara.

This consciousness would strengthen tourism and the ecosystem of the creative economy, he said on Sunday. He also said that to expand homestay with locals and produce creative economy products, investors will come on their own. Therefore, the number of tourists will rise in its own way.

For people, tourism awareness is anticipated to create an attitude so that in the sector, they can become an active player in their respective regions.

The people should also know about the main values of the Sapta Pesona, the prime support for the tourism development and management of Indonesia.

These values include orderly, safe, dirt-free, attractive, welcoming, and unforgettable.

The actualization of Sapta Pesona values turn out to be a part of everyday behavior in catering tourists which in return help tourism growth and embodies the local wisdom value.

Also, the Tourism Awareness Dissemination event was organized in four other villages as well like, Gili Indah, Pusuk Lestari in West Lombok, Medana, and Jerowaru in North Lombok.
