For the first time, the tourism ministers of Israel and Bahrain held a publicly acknowledged phone call on Thursday discussing possible ventures including three-way travel packages concerning the United Arab Emirates.
The conversation between Israel’s Asaf Zamir and Bahrain’s Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani was followed by a White House ceremony on Tuesday where the countries pledged to establish relations. The UAE and Israel also formalized ties at the same occasion.
Zamir said that he hopes tourism to start between Israel and the UAE early next year.
To quote Zamir, “Agreements to do with visas and tourism are at an advanced stage, and the two sides are expected to reach a deal soon.”
Emirates Flight Catering said earlier that it had signed a memorandum of understanding for creating a dedicated production facility, Kosher Arabia, for kosher food at its premises in the UAE with production commencing in January.
