On Monday, Singapore welcomed the first tour group from China after experiencing a three-year gap because of the pandemic.
Tourism operators explained that the recommencement of Chinese outbound tourism would improve Singapore’s travel market. Steven Ler, President of National Association of Travel Agents Singapore, said that the travel agencies in Singapore are preparing them to welcome incoming tourists from China as agencies are trying to find out the way to make them happy when they are here. In the last two years, they have changes a lot. He added that within Singapore, new attractions have come up. Jenny Wang, representative of greater China Region Resort World Sentosa Singapore, said that everyone here is ready to welcome the first group from China and a big bag will be given to them to show their sincerity. They are also set to provide services in Chinese and Mandarin in various restaurants. New hotels are providing services in line with the needs of the Chinese business travelers.
